PRIVATE GUIDE · YOUR GROUP

Private Scooter Snorkeling
in Antigua.
Your group. Your pace.

Share a guided turtle snorkeling experience with your own group and a private guide. A private outing gives you room to plan around your group’s interests and experience, while respecting the same swimming and safety requirements.

Experience

Private Turtle Expedition

Duration

1 hour on the water, plus approximately 30 minutes for orientation and the safety briefing. Allow 2½ hours for your full visit. Larger groups may take longer for preparation and the tour.

Sessions

Check available private departures or ask the team about your preferred date.

Group size

Up to 20 guests per private session. The booking calendar shows remaining availability.

What does private mean?

Your guide is dedicated to your booking group. You can discuss your group’s confidence, interests and preferred pacing before the outing. This can be especially useful when planning a shared occasion or traveling with people who have different levels of snorkeling experience.

The beach and surrounding waters remain shared natural spaces. Private refers to your guided booking, not an exclusive beach, a private marine area or guaranteed access to a particular animal.

Plan the experience around your group

Send us your preferred date, party size, ages, swimming experience and any cruise or hotel timing constraints. We can then help you select an appropriate private option.

Review the equipment, meeting arrangements and any transport before paying. If you specifically want scooters for your private outing, ask us to confirm that they are included in the option you choose.

A special occasion, without losing the adventure

A private snorkeling outing can give couples, families and friends a shared experience away from their everyday routine. Keep the plan focused on what your group will enjoy: time in the water, marine life and a pace you can discuss with your guide.

Safety decisions and route changes still depend on the weather, sea conditions and participants. Tell the team about any concern before arrival so we can discuss it properly.

Ages 10–70. Every participant must meet the swimming and safety requirements.
Physical activity
An in-water snorkeling activity; the pace can be discussed, but swimming ability is still required.
Access & support

Your questions, answered.

How long should I allow?

1 hour on the water, plus approximately 30 minutes for orientation and the safety briefing. Allow 2½ hours for your full visit. Larger groups may take longer for preparation and the tour.

Does private mean we will have the sea to ourselves?

No. Your guide is private to your group, but the beach and water are shared natural spaces.

Can non-swimmers join a private snorkeling tour?

A private guide does not remove the swimming requirement. Discuss alternatives with the team before booking.

Are sea scooters included?

Check the equipment listed for your selected private option. Ask us to confirm scooters if you specifically want them.

Which departure should cruise passengers choose?

Choose the earliest departure that realistically fits your ship’s arrival and disembarkation time. Earlier sessions leave more time for the return journey and unexpected delays. Share your ship name, arrival time and all-aboard time before booking; do not choose an afternoon session without checking that the full visit fits.

How long is the journey from the cruise port to English Harbour?

For planning, allow about an hour each way by road between the St John’s cruise port and Galleon Beach in English Harbour. This is a planning allowance, not a guaranteed transfer time. Traffic, your pickup point and port congestion can change the journey; confirm pickup and return timing with your driver or our team.

Will I make it back to my ship on time?

We can help you choose a session and return plan around your ship’s all-aboard deadline. Book an earlier departure and allow time for disembarkation, both road journeys, the activity, the briefing and a generous return buffer. Traffic and ship schedules are outside our control, so we cannot give an unconditional return guarantee. Confirm the plan before booking if time is tight.

How much time should I allow for a cruise-day visit?

Allow 2½ hours at the activity, plus road travel in both directions and extra time for port procedures and delays. This visit allowance includes preparation and, for water activities, orientation and the safety briefing; do not add that briefing again. Larger groups may take longer for preparation and the tour. Choose an earlier departure and plan around your ship’s all-aboard deadline, allowing for any difference between ship time and Antigua local time.

Is round-trip transportation included?

Transportation is booked separately. Use our transportation page to reserve the appropriate round-trip transfer, and confirm your pickup point, pickup time and return arrangements for your chosen activity.

What is your cancellation policy?

All activities on this website follow a 48-hour cancellation policy. Cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled start time for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start time are charged 100%, except when weather prevents an affected snorkeling activity and rebooking is not possible, a qualifying cruise disruption prevents attendance, or Skylork Ltd approves an illness refund.

What if my cruise ship changes itinerary or cannot dock?

We offer a full refund if your ship changes itinerary or cannot dock and this prevents you from attending your booked activity. Let us know as soon as possible and share your booking details and the cruise line’s notice.

Can I get a refund if I am sick?

Please contact us promptly if you are unwell, and do not join a water activity while sick. Within the 48-hour cancellation window, refunds for illness are at the discretion of Skylork Ltd and are not automatic. Cancellations made at least 48 hours ahead follow our standard full-refund policy.

Why is there a 48-hour cancellation window?

We have limited spaces each day. Your booking reserves a place that we cannot sell to another guest. Last-minute cancellations often leave too little time to refill that space, so please plan responsibly and notify us as early as possible.

Can I drink alcohol before snorkeling?

No. Please act responsibly and avoid alcohol before snorkeling. Arrive sober, ready to swim and able to follow the safety briefing. Do not schedule an alcohol-tasting experience before a snorkeling activity. Tell your guide if you feel unwell or unable to participate safely.
